Court dismisses suit against Wada

A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit challenging the nomination of Governor Idris Wada of Kogi state as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate.
Ruling on a motion by Yunusa Omagada to nullify the primary that produced Wada, Justice Adamu Bello held that the applicant lacks the locus standi to institute the action challenge the nomination of Wada.
The court also ruled that Omagada’s failure to file the suit before the gubernatorial election has rendered the suit a pre-election matter and robbed him of his constitutional right to seek legal redress.
