Kaduna governor’s convoy in auto crash

Convoy of the Kaduna State governor Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero was yesterday involved in a minor accident few metres away from the state government house.

The accident happened at the front of the 44 Army Reference Hospital, around 2pm when the governor was on his way to address the state’s civil servant at the state’s secretariat. The accident involved one of the police riders clearing traffic for the convoy. The rider, a police corporal, somersaulted to the other side of the road.

The governor alighted from the car and ordered that the rider be rushed to the hospital. Our correspondent gathered the rider was rushed to the 44 Army Hospital and his bike was returned back to the government house.

Governor Yero after waiting for some minutes left the scene immediately for the state’s secretariat where he addressed the workers.
