Bauchi police intensify search for abducted expatriates ... Community offers special prayers

The Bauchi State Police Command said yesterday that search is still on for the seven workers of Setraco Company, who were kidnapped in Jama’are Local Government Area of the state 12 days ago.
Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Hassan Muhammed Auyo, said they are searching every nook and cranny for the workers. Auyo called on members of the public to help the police with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the abductors. Daily Trust gathered that since the incident, nothing has been heard from the kidnappers.
Meanwhile, Jama’are community has offered special prayers for the release of the workers. The emir of Jamaare, Alhaji Ahmadu Muhammadu Wabi and the caretaker committee chairman of the area Alhaji Adamu Aliyu, held prayer sessions for the release of the expatriates.  Youths of the area also called for the release of the workers. Chairman of the Jama’are Youth Council, Comrade Hassan Usman, who led the youths, noted that the company has uplifted the standard of living of the people by creating jobs.
