INEC commissioner seeks deregistration of inactive parties

The Gombe State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Professor Istifanus Dafwang has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) to deregister any political party that fails to produce candidate for next month’s bye-election in Kwami-east. Dafwang made the call while addressing a stakeholders’ meeting and presentation of programmes of activities for the Kwami-east constituency bye-election fixed for March 23, 2013.
