Governor Kayode Fayemi yesterday inaugurated new commissioners and special advisers with a call on them not to see their appointments as a means of expanding their curriculum vitae but a call to service.

The governor, who dissolved his cabinet on January 9, 2013, urged the new appointees to  justify the confidence reposed in them.

The new commissioners are: Mr.  Wale Fapohunda (Justice) Mr. Remi Olorunleke (Housing, Physical and Urban Development)  Mr. Kehinde Ojo (Education), Chief (Mrs) Ronke Okusanya (Arts & Culture), Mr. Oluwole Ariyo 0(Labour), Mr. Tayo Ekundayo (Information), Mr. Dapo Kolawole (Finance) and Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, who is commissioner for budget.

Others are: Mr. Funminiyi Afuye (Integration), Mr. Paul Omotoso (Local Government Affairs), Mr. Folorunso Olabode (Rural Devt), Dr. (Mrs) Eniola Ajayi Environment), Dr. Olusola Fasuba (Health),  Mr. Apalara Wole Adewunmi (Special Duties), Mr. Debo Ajayi (Trade &Investment), Mr. Jide Arowosafe (Agric), Mrs. Fola Richie Adewusi (Women Affairs), Mr. Kayode Olaosebikan (Youths & Sports) and Mr. Sola Adebayo (Works).

The Special Advisers include:  Mr Aderemi Ajayi, Chief Dayo Fadipe, Hon Tale Oguntoyinbo, Chief Babatunde Odetola, Hon Biodun Omoleye, Mr Adebayo Kekekun, Prince Akin Olayisade, Mr Kayode Jegede, Hon Karounwi Oladapo, MrsBunmi Dipo-Salami andAlhaji Ayodele Jinadu.

The governor,  who charged the new appointees to inject new blood into the cabinet, warned that he would  not hesitate to replace any of them that is found wanting.

“You must take full advantage of your past experiences to be more strategic, innovative and purposeful in accelerating your speed for spectacular performances. The lessons of the first half must not be lost on you”, he said.
