The other two aggrieved governorship aspirants, Alhaji Zubairu Abdullahi Turaki and Alhaji Hussaini Adamu, gave the lack of confidence PDP and injustice it meted on them as the reasons for their defection.Other prominent politicians who dumped the PDP included Bello Kaoje who lost the Suru/Bagudu Federal Constituency election to an APC candidate in the last election; Abbas Jega (ABBASCO); Danjuma Sabi Kamba; Shehu Dan’agaji Malisa; Bala Labbo Gwandu; Ilyasu Kambaza and Dambegu Vice.Others were Usman Ankwai Zuru; Danjuma Kadanho Zuru; Aliyu Planner Kalgo; Haruna Magarza; Abu Dangoje; Rilwanu Auwal among many others.APC governorship running mate retired Colonel Sama’ila Yombe who received the defectors in Zuru, weekend, said the party was still consulting with many PDP members who expressed interest to join APC before the governorship election.“PDP is not a party to remain in,” he said, adding that the joining of the APC by prominent PDP members and their supporters was meant to ensure the progress of the state.Media assistant to the former PDP chairman in the state Nasiru Magaji said: “Names are still being updated, but so far we have over 43,000 names from 21 LGAs across the state. A comprehensive list will soon be made available by end of the week.”
