ACF asks Northern govs to probe recruitment bias

Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) yesterday urged the Northern Governors Forum to investigate allegations of bias against northerners in recruitment and promotions in some security agencies.

In a communiqué issued at the end of its National Working Committee (NWC) meeting and signed by its National Publicity Secretary Anthony N. Z. Sani, ACF said the allegation affect northerners with serious sense of concern.

“It is against such back-drop that the forum called on northern governors to use their commissioners in the Federal Character Commission to investigate the allegations with a view to ensuring that the North is not short changed,” the group said.
