The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the result of the Presidential election held in Anambra state, with the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Goodluck Jonathan scoring 660,762 votes to beat his closest rival and All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari retired who scored 17, 926 votes.
The breakdown of the result announced by state Collation Officer, Professor Chigozie Asiabaka who is the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology (FUTO) showed that 668,584 valid votes recorded.
