Lent: Cleric tasks Nigerians on unity

As Christians commence the Lenten session, chairman and spiritual father of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church worldwide, Most Reverend Samuel Abidoye, has tasked Nigerians on unity saying, “Nigeria is too important for us to risk its disintegration.”
Abidoye, in a statement, urged Nigerians to tolerate one another irrespective of ethnic or religious differences, noting that the Lenten period is a time of renewal and forgiveness.
“Another Lenten season is here, Nigeria is in dire need of peace. We need repentance from crimes and evil. We need economic boom and spiritual renewal, but we are far from this ideal in our present state of existence. Bloodshed, kidnapping, corruption, selfishness, nepotism in acts of governance, ethnic bigotry and segregation must end in our land,” he said.
