Confusion in Ekiti community over murder

The murder of a middle-aged man by yet-to-be identified people has thrown Ilawe-Ekiti in Ekiti South West of Local Government of Ekiti State into confusion.

It was gathered that the corpse of the man, whose name and identity are unknown, was found in a pool of blood in a farm about five kilometres from the community.

It was further gathered that the murder threw the community into confusion immediately news filtered in, and that both police and residents of the town have commenced search for perpetrators of the crime.

When contacted, spokesman of the Ekiti police command, ASP Victor Babayemi Olu, confirmed the story, adding that the police have arrested two men in connection with the murder.

He said the police received the report around 9am on Saturday, adding that detectives were immediately dispatched to the scene to unravel the mystery surrounding it.
