Consumer Protection Council gets acting DG

Mr. Emmanuel Amlai has assumed duty as the acting director general of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) after the expiration of the two-term tenure of the council’s former Director General, Mrs. Ify Umenyi.

Mrs. Umenyi, while handing over to Amlai, who is the most senior director in the organization, thanked management and staff of the council for the cooperation and loyalty she enjoyed while piloting the affairs of the agency.

Until his appointment, the acting DG was the director of Quality Assurance and Development in the organization as well as director, Surveillance and Enforcement.
