Tambuwal, Akpabio, for Transparency Initiative awards

The Transparency and Leadership Initiative has named Speaker House of Representatives Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio as winners of its 2012 good governance and public service awards.

A statement signed by the chairman and the secretary of the group, Chinedu Uchegbu and James Anyaduba, said Akpabio was nominated for his strides in the infrastructural development of his state and Kuku for his transparent and honest manner in impacting positively on the lives of the youth of the region.

Other recipients are Presidentail Adviser on Niger Delta Kingsley Kuku, the Lagos and Jigawa states governors Sule Lamido and Babatunde Raji Fashola.
