Three suspected armed robbers arrested in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers in connection with army robbery operation in Jogana town of Gezawa Local Government Area of the state.
Police commissioner for the state, Ibrahim K. Idris, told a press conference in Kano yesterday that the suspected armed robbers were identified as Hashimu Ado of Rimin Kebe quarters and Mohammed Auwal of Dutsinma in Katsina State who conspired with three others now at large and attacked a supermarket in the area and robbed them of undisclosed amount of money.
He said the suspects had during investigation mentioned their gang leader who supplied them with arms as one Babangida Baba Salihu of Sauna Kawaji who is an indigene of Jigawa State.
The police, he also said, had recovered from the suspects three AK 47 rifles, five magazines, 69 rounds of live ammunitions and two mobile handsets.
