Tambuwal urges religious co-existence

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has enjoined religious leaders in the country to preach the gospel of love, peaceful co-existence and inter-religious harmony as part of measures to eliminate religious tension among the people.
Tambuwal gave the advice on Friday during the Thanksgiving Mass and 60th birthday anniversary organised by the Catholic Community in honour the
Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kuka held at the Anchuna Catholic Church in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.
Tambuwal’s spokesman, Imam Imam, quoted him in a statement as urging religious leaders to emulate the exemplary conducts of Kukah.
Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, represented by his deputy, Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga, called for continued intercession of religious leaders for Nigeria to overcome its security and other challenges.
In his earlier remarks, Kukah urged Nigerians to continue to live in unity and peace with one another.
