Muslims pray for peace in Jos

The Muslim community of Jos North local government area in Plateau State yesterday held a special prayer for restoration of peace and security as part of activities to commemorate this year’s Eid-Maulud celebration.

The prayer session was led by Chief Imam of the National Mosque Abuja, Sheikh Musa Muhammad.

They prayed to Almighty God to protect Plateau State and the nation from all evils and restore peace and security to the state so that meaningful development can be achieved.

Muhammad called on Governor Jonah Jang to facilitate conducive venues that will accommodate the Muslims, especially Rwang Pam Township Stadium, saying “if Muslims are allowed to use the stadium though predominated by non-Muslims, it would go a long way in restoring trust and confidence.

The stadium was usually used by Muslims during festivals but such was stopped as result of the crises.
