Defence college alumni association meets over insecurity

The Alumni Association of the National Defence College (AANDEC) yesterday said it is collaborating with the National Defence College (NDC) in organizing its 3rd annual seminar on national security between January 29 and 30.
Chairman, local organizing committee, retired Major General Alexander Mshelbwala, said at a media briefing that the seminar with theme “Contemporary National Security Challenges,” would discuss causes of insecurity in Nigeria and Mali and proffer solutions.
The National Security Adviser, Mohammed Sambo Dasuki, will deliver a lecture with the title “Nigeria’s Security Challenges:  The way forward,” while the Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Patrick Ziakede Akpobolokemi, will present a lecture on “Nigeria’s Maritime Domain: Issues and Prospects.”  Major General Okon E. Okon will make presentation on “Poverty and Unemployment: Impact on National Security.”
