JTF arrests 10 as blast hits Maiduguri

The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno State yesterday said it arrested 10 suspects after an explosion rocked the restive Shehuri ward of Maiduguri.
Our correspondent report that there was heavy blast in the area followed by series of gunshots around 12pm yesterday.
JTF spokesman, Lt Col Sagir Musa who confirmed the explosion in a statement said “there was an IED explosion at about 12:30pm in Shehuri ward. The JTF rushed to the scene, cordoned and search the area, arrested 10 suspects.”
The spokesman also said that no lives were lost in the blast and nobody was injured. He said the suspects are undergoing interrogation.
