The donation which was received by the Vice Chancellor BUK, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed was done by NCC Board Commissioner, Alhaji Mohammed Bintube on behalf of the Commission. The books will adorn the university’s ICT Centre named T.Y Danjuma ICT Centre. A statement by the NCC Director, Public Affairs, Mr. Tony Ojobo quoted Bintube as saying that the “Commission is honored and privileged to be present at one of the Citadels of learning in Nigeria. We appreciate the efforts made in ICT within the University”. The Commission applauded the Vice Chancellor and the university’s management for keeping up with the trends in ICT with the rest of the world. The Commissioner explained that “the ICT book donation is part of the project of the Commission to fill the dearth of educational materials within the ICT sector in the country”. The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Commission for the donation and encouraged the NCC to further partner with the university in its efforts to expand ICT training programmes within the institution.
