Adamawa woos investors

Adamawa State Government says it has created enabling environment for foreign and local investors to tap from the mineral resources and agro allied resources that abound in the state.
Governor Murtala Nyako who made the declaration while receiving some investors on the production of sugar in Yola, said his government had created enabling environment for those desiring to invest in agriculture, industries and tap the abundant mineral resources in the state.
The investors that came into the state along with a team from the National Sugar Development Council of Nigeria led by its Executive Secretary, Dr Abdul lattiff Busari, and hosted by Governor Nyako, said they were ready to invest in sugar production in the state in order to meet the sugar requirements of the nation.
According to Nyako, a number of foreign investors have already signed Memorandum of Understanding  with the state government on energy generation,agro allied industries and exploitation of abundant mineral resources in the state for the purpose o f industrialization as well as the promotion of small and medium scales businesses in any part of the state.
The Executive Secretary of NSDC, Dr Abdullateeff Busari, declared that the investors were in the state to explore the abundant materials that the state was endowed with and to see to the possibilities of investing in the state, especially in the area of sugar production and energy.
The Managing Director of Sharp Agro allied Company, Alhaji Musa Mantu, said that his company was ever ready to tap the abundant agricultural resources of Bachama Kingdom especially in sugar production which have been discovered to be capable of meeting the sugar needs of the national instead of importing sugar into country.
The paramount ruler of Bachama Kingdom, Homun Stephen Irmiya Honest told the investors that the kingdom was ready to embrace investors in the area and that the traditional institution at the local level to support the prospective investors to invest in the area.
