Bauchi directs HOS to screen all teachers
Category: News Written by Ahmed Mohammed, Bauchi
Bauchi state Executive Council yesterday directed the office of the head of service and the ministry of Education to commence verification of junior secondary and primary school teachers in the state.
The state commissioner of education Alhaji Muhammad Aminu Ibrahim said all teachers are to attend the screening irrespective of qualification.
Ibrahim said “the aim of the exercise is to fish out and screen all incompetent, unqualified and those with fake/forged certificates and impersonation.”
He directed that teachers under State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) must participate in the exercise to ensure sanity in the education sector.
