One person was confirmed dead while two others were severely injured on Wednesday when a commercial bus ran into a restaurant at the Pen Cinema area of Agege, Lagos.
The bus was allegedly driven by a conductor who did not know how to drive. The conductor whose name could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report was said to be currently being detained at the Pen Cinema Police Station. The incident, which occurred early in the morning, also caused traffic gridlock on the Agege-Ikeja and Iju Ishaga-Ogba roads. A witness told our reporter that the bus driver allegedly parked his bus by the side of the road and entered a canteen to eat, but while the driver was still eating, his conductor simply identified as Omo-Ibadan entered the vehicle and powered the ignition.
