In an interview, Professor Abdullahi, who is the Chairman, Governing Council of Bauchi State University, Gadau, said: “I was on my way for a meeting at the state university in Gadau, when we got to Tirwun village, we saw a convoy of some soldiers and they were driving slowly, so our driver manoeuvred and overtook them. At the point, we heard sound of gunshots; about eight bullets hit our car. We managed to stop but we thank Allah the bullets did not hit anyone of us inside the vehicle”. “When we stopped, the soldiers came out and were asking why we overtook them, saying they were escorting sensitive materials. I have never seen such a reckless act in my life,” he said.
