KABIRU A YUSUF, Chairman of the Board and CEO

A former University Lecturer, Kabiru was editor – Daily Triumph, Today and Citizen Magazine and, was Southern African Correspondent of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). He has also written for Newswatch and Daily Times. He holds B.Sc/MSc Political Economy from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and University of Toronto, Canada. Kabiru was Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief for many years and is now the Chairman and Chief Executive officer.


ISIAQ A. AJIBOLA, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO)

An experienced media practitioner, Ajibola worked at Citizen and Sentinel magazines and was pioneer General Manager of Media Trust Ltd, and later became the Executive Director (Operations) and is now the Managing Director and Chief operations Officer. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Trustee's of Nigeria and an alumnus of the Business School, University of Stellenbosch, Capetown. He holds a B.Sc Economics degree and MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.


MANNIR DAN ALI: Executive Director

Born on the 13th of May 1964 at Kayauki in Katsina state, he attended primary schools at Ketare and Kankara both in Katsina state before gaining admission to Rimi College Kaduna in 1976. Upon completion of his studies there he attended the College of Advanced Studies, Zaria before proceeding to Bayero University Kano where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 1986. Mannir returned to the same university for graduate studies and completed an M.A degree in English Literature in 1990.

His had his first experience in the media with the defunct Citizen Magazine in Lagos, first as special project staff, and later as a reporter between 1992 and 1993. He also worked on freelance basis with the Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation in 1994. Between August 1997 and February 2000, Mannir worked for the BBC World service at its Bush House headquaters in London before relocating back to Nigeria where he set up the Abuja Bureau of the African service. He assumed duty as Media Trust’s Editor-in Chief in 2007.

UMARU ABDULLAHI (Director)

Holds a B.Sc. Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He had a stint with NNPC before going into private business. A widely traveled financial consultant, Alhaji Abdullahi is Managing Director of Lagos based Intra-Africa International.


BELLO DAMAGUM (Director)

An international businessman, he holds a B.Sc. Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. After working in the Nigeria National Shipping Line, he is now a Property Developer in Abuja and Kaduna.


ABDULLAHI SHUAIBU (Director)

Chairman/Chief Executive of Kaduna based Agromatrix Nigeria Limited. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from ABU, Zaria and worked for many years as manager of SCOA Nig. Ltd. in many parts of Nigeria.


RABIU GARBA (Director)

He is the Chairman/Managing Director of Espee Printing and Advertising Limited, Kaduna. He holds a HND in Printing Technology from the Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna.

ALIU M. AKOSHILE

Akoshile holds a B. Sc. (Hons) degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, 1987 and M. Sc. International Relations & Strategic Studies from the University of Jos, 1993. He is a versatile professional with over two decades experience in journalism, marketing communications and banking, Akoshile has worked at different times for Sunday Times and Citizen.

He was the pioneer Lagos Bureau Chief and Head of Southern Operations of Trust newspapers group from 1998 to 2001 when he joined the former NUB International Bank Limited as the pioneer Head of Corporate Affairs Department. Mr. Akoshile, who is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), is married and has children.    


SHEHU O. MOHAMMED
General Manager, Management Services


Shehu graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife with B.Sc Accounting degree.  He is an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).  He had his Internship and post qualification experience at Mu’allayidia and Co. (Chartered Accountants) Kaduna and has over ten years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Auditing and Financial Advisory Services.

GARBA ALIYU ABUBAKAR: DGM (IT)

He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and an indigene of Gombe State. A graduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi and a holder of a Masters degree in Electronics Engineering from the same university, Mal. Garba Aliyu worked as a lecturer in the afore-mentioned university from 1995 to 1999 and with NITEL from 1999 till 2008 as a senior manager in charge of internet services at Kaduna point of presence before joining Media Trust Limited.

He has attended several IT trainings locally and abroad. He loves travelling and has basket ball for hobby.

PETER O. OMANANYI

Peter O. Omananyi is a seasoned printer who began his printing career as a trainee with Baraka Press and Publisher Limited in Kaduna in the early 80s and has over the past 30 years gained the professional competency and dynamism that is rare to find in the fast growing printing industry after working with seasoned expatriates in the field of machine maintenance, commercial and newspaper production in Nigeria.

He holds a HND in Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Kaduna polytechnic and a post graduate diploma in Mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna. He also has training in Management and was very recently on a Transformational leadership training in Cape Town South Africa.
Over the years he has worked and held several supervisory and managerial positions in different printing and publishing houses of great repute.

He is versatile, highly motivated, emotionally stable and a thorough-bred team leader.

Theophilus Abbah started his journalism career as a reporter in 1996 with Punch (Nigeria) Limited in Lagos, publishers of THE PUNCH, SATURDAY PUNCH and SUNDAY PUNCH. In his almost ten years work experience in the company, he was Reporter, Senior Reporter, Correspondent, Senior Correspondent, Chief Correspondent and Assistant Editor. He resigned from the organization in April 2005. He has also worked with LEADERSHIP Newspapers in Abuja as General Editor, and with THE COMPANION also in Abuja as Editor.

Theophilus joined Media Trust Limited in 2007 as Head, Investigation Desk. In June 2008, he was appointed Acting Editor, Sunday Trust. He is a 1994 graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language. He holds also, the University of Abuja’s Master of Arts degree in English Language.


Akeem Mustapha
Advert Manager


An astute media practitioner, Akeem started his media career in Daily Times. He left the company  in 2003 as Senior Advert Executive to join The Diplomat Magazine in Accra, Ghana as  Business Co-ordinator/Advert Sales Executive for West Africa sub-region.

He returned to Nigeria in 2004 to take up appointment as Head of Advert of now rested FS African Standard, published by Financial Standard for Nigerian community in South Africa. Akeem resigned from Financial Standard in May 2005 to work briefly with BusinessWeek as Advert Manager and in January 2006, he joined BusinesDay as Deputy Advert Manager, a  position he held until November 2010 when he joined Media Trust Limited  as Advert Manager.

Akeem holds B.Sc and M.Sc, Political Science from University of Lagos (UNILAG). He is a member of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), and also holds APCON professional Certificate and Diploma in advertising.

On completion of his professional studies with APCON in 2000, Akeem was awarded APCON’s OCL Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Principle of Advertising, STB-McCann Award for Excellence in Copy Writing & Layout and Dorathy Ovbiagele Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Principle of Advertising.

A good team player and focused personality, Akeem is married with children.
