Eight other people who were said to be roadside mechanics in the locality were also burnt to death. It was gathered that a nursing mother selling engine oil beside the road was also killed in the inferno as she made futile efforts to save her baby who was already trapped in the enraging fire.
Weekly Trust gathered that many people, mainly roadside mechanics in the area, who sustained varied degrees of injuries from the inferno, were rushed to nearby hospitals where they are currently receiving treatment.
