The people of Dawaki area of Bwari Area Council have said the newly constructed two and a half kilometres asphalt access road with a drainage sponsored by SCC Nigeria Limited, will boost the economy of the area and impact the lives of the people.
The chairman of Amalgamated Dawaki Extension Residents Association (ADERA), Mr. Egbunike Chukwudubem, said the Dawaki extension main entrance road has been in a deplorable condition for over 10 years until the company intervened.

“ADERA has over time approached all corporate stakeholders in Dawaki District, particularly the construction companies, for provision of basic infrastructure in the district but only SCC Nigeria Ltd. responded to its appeal so far,’’ he said.
He therefore urged relevant authorities, to officially recognise and commend the company for its positive impact on communities wherever it was operating in the FCT.
According to him, such a commendation will serve as motivation and call to duty to other corporate bodies doing business in the territory thereby reducing the burden of providing infrastructure solely by government.
“We are calling on other corporate stakeholders within Dawaki area to come and partner with us in the provision of street lights, patrol vehicles and containers for the two police posts within Dawaki that will no doubt assist the police to improve on security in the area,” he added.
