This assurance was given by the chairman of the committee and president of Nigeria Tennis Federation Mr. Ifedayo Akindoju shortly after the committee’s inauguration by the minister of sports, Solomon Dalung in Abuja.

He assured Nigerians and other nationals of a touch of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage in Australia and Russia just as he maintained that the country’s rich cultural heritage will be the centre of attraction at the Games.

“The committee is set up to sell Nigeria’s rich culture and business to the world during the Commonwealth Games Gold Coast, and subsequently during the Russia 2018 World Cup and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

“What we would be doing as a committee is to set up a Nigerian House at those locations and sell Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and businesses to the world.

“It is not just about sports alone, but all other things are that obtainable in Nigeria so that the athletes and visitors to the games will have platform to see what we Nigerians are capable of,” he said.

Akindoju also assured that having reviewed the outing of the past committee at the 2016 Rio Olympics in Brazil, his committee will work harder to improve on the achievements made by their predecessors.
